Our activities

 Heal

Because torture is no ordinary evil, treatment must go above and beyond the ordinary. Therapy becomes a question of helping each patient to rebuild his or her self-esteem and self-respect. In addition, treatment aims to promote a sense of respect for others and an understanding of what is it like to live in a democracy.

 Train

Those who interact with asylum seekers and refugees may find themselves thrown off or perplexed by certain behaviours (such as nightmares, insomnia, or aggressiveness) displayed by a victim of trauma. In order to avoid the unnecessary suffering of someone in desperate need of care—as well as to minimise our own suffering as we listen to stories of the cruelty the victim endured—formal training is crucial.

 Inform

Parcours d’Exil educates and raises awareness among public officials concerning the conditions in which torture victims live, notably the extent of their suffering, their health, and their socio-economic situation.
