Train

Meeting with torture victims, hearing their stories, and dealing with that tension day in and day out can affect the daily functioning of an institution and its employees.
In order to help individual employees and the institution as a whole better manage these difficulties, Parcours d’Exil offers training workshops that blend theory and case studies.

Training and problem resolution for professionals

When professionals have a deeper comprehension of the traumas experienced by the victims with whom they interact, they are better equipped to handle the difficulties arising from these painful past experiences. Thus, the training we provide directly contributes to the improvement of the victim’s well-being by fine-working from the inside with the institutional structures into which they enter.

Our training workshops are designed for doctors, psychiatrists, social workers, educators, psychologists, nurses, and receptionists, etc. who work for governmental institutions, non-profits, reception centres, etc.

We offer three types of training sessions:

  • Training at Parcours d’Exil’s facilities:

“Reception and support of exiled victims of torture and political persecution”
This training workshop brings together professionals from all different backgrounds. Participants choose either a three- or five-day long workshop, which are offered once every trimester.
