Parcours d’Exil is not only a healing centre for torture victims, but also an activist organisation that lobbies on their behalf. We provide therapeutic services out of a civic duty to fight against torture and defend human rights.
Vision: treat all victims of human rights violations
Missions:
-Offer free treatment to all victims of trauma
-Consider every patient’s background in order to provide the appropriate treatment
-Train professionals to recognize the symptoms of trauma and care for victims
-Advise teams of professionals and help them live better and focus on their work
-Inform the leaders who shape public opinion regarding the plight of torture victims and their health care needs
-Act as an inside negotiator with both national and European institutions
-Raise public awareness about torture victims’ quality of life and their particular struggles
